Title: Which one is correct?

Q. What one is correct to chant only Pancha Tattva mantra and then the Hare Krishna Mahamantra or to chant the Holy Names of Nityananda and Gauranga in addition to these two?††
††† Answer by Swami Gaurangapada:
Both ways of implementing Shrila Prabhupada's instructions are correct. Those who are chanting and preaching sincerely are fortunate and glorious souls who will surely become liberated by following Shrila Prabhupada instructions to chant the Hare Krishna Mahamantra and his instructions to chant the Pancha Tattva Mantra along with the Hare Krishna Mahamantra to remove the offenses. All glories to all the sincere and genuine followers of Shrila Prabhupada's teachings!
†And also our followers who are also following Shrila Prabhupada's instructions to take full shelter of Holy Names of Nityananda and Gauranga in order to achieve success in the chanting of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra are also glorious and they will also attain the same goal by the causeless mercy of the Holy Names of Nityananda and Gauranga.
Sometimes an Acharya may not directly implement his own instructions in his books as he is self-effulgent and independent to spread the glories of the Lord in whatever he desires. So even though Shrila Prabhupada writes that a neophyte student should not directly indulge in the chanting of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra and instead should take full shelter and very regularly chant the Holy Names of Nityananda and Gauranga, he was not bound to implement this himself as by his own purity he can create the direct qualification of the souls to chant the Hare Krishna Mahamantra.
But we as followers of Shrila Prabhupada decided to implement his above instructions by distributing the Holy Names of Nityananda and Gauranga before giving the Hare Krishna Mahamantra which are Mantrarajas chanted by our previous acharyas. Shrila Prabhupada had instructed that the Pancha Tattva Mantra should be chanted only a few times before beginning the Hare Krishna Mahamantra but on the other hand he, Shrila Narottama dasa Thakura and Lord Nityananda Prabhu Himself instructed that the Holy Name of Gauranga can be chanted constantly either in the home or in the forest.
So the conclusion is that there is nothing contradictory in this. Neither do we force anyone to accept our understanding. Nor do we say we are superior to anyone or look down upon anyone. Never do we criticize any devotee either publicly or privately. With a humble mood, we pray that all devotees of Lords Nityananda Gauranga in this world should be liberated and not take birth again in the ghastly cycle of birth and death.
So one can follow any of the two. Those souls who are attracted to the above implementation of Shrila Prabhupada's instructions will take up this process of chanting Holy Names of Nityananda and Gauranga at least 1000 times each (or more) daily along with the Hare Krishna Mahamantra. And we will still give our utmost respect and worship to those who do not take up this process but still are sincere followers of Shrila Prabhupada's teachings by chanting the Pancha Tattva Mantra along with the Hare Krishna Mahamantra and do not critcise or belittle the glories of chanting Nityananda Gauranga Nama.
One may not chant oneself but to criticize or belittle others who are chanting the most merciful Holy Names of Nityananda and Gauranga along with the Hare Krishna Mahamantra is not fair in our estimation. But we will never belittle or criticize anyone in return even though others may do so because of our chanting Nityananda Gauranga Nama as we genuinely respect all Gaudiya Vaishnavas. We only reply to questions philosophically and present our understanding on the scriptural basis which can be found here: "http://nama.gaurangapada.com/".
