00:29:31† Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Dear Gurudev, Please accept my humble obeisances at your lotus feet. My question is with relation to qualification for seeing Lord Gauranga and His pastimes. Since conditioned materialistic souls like me have no qualification for seeing the Lord. But the Lord is very merciful He lets us see Him in His deity form. You gave the example of how Duryodhana committed a great offense. Answer by Swami Gaurangapada:
†Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! The chanting of the Holy Names will actually show you the divine form of the Lord in your heart, in the Deity and every where else. All the five principle angas of bhakti: (1) Nama Kirtanam, (2) Bhagavata Shravana, (3) Dhama Vasa (Yatra), (4) Sadhu Sanga, (5) Deity Worship, are ultimately meant to make us chant the Holy Names will love and devotion to become qualified to see the Form of the Lord.
†There are 64 offenses while worshipping the Diety form of the Lord.I am very sure that I commit many of them unknowingly. Offenses are a setback to devotional service. So I am also unknowingly like a fool acting like Duryodhana, which I never want to be.
But in the temple one gets Sadhu Sanga, Kirtans are chanted. So should I go to the temple to see the Lord without considering any qualifications, as that I will get Sadhu Sanga and get to hear the shuddha nama of Lord Gauranga-Krishna and soon my offensive mentality will leave. Or if qualification is to be considered what must I do to be quaified to see Lords Diety form?
Aspiring to be your humble servant, Bhushan Nityananda dasa
