User: Swami Gaurangapada Date: 2006-03-11 20:09:00

If one is married to a nondevotee, but the nondevotee partner is trulydevoted to the devotee husband or devotee wife, does one gain spiritually fromsuch an assocation?

basically can one gain devotional service by faithfully serving adevotee?is this pleaseing to gauranga?

So if i become a devotee, she will indirectly become a devotee of ourlordships Nityananda and Gauranga by serving me and helping me in my devotionalservices?

Answer by Swami Gaurangapada:

The wife shares equally in the devotional merits and spiritual advancement ofher husband if she is faithfully serving her husband. Like for eg in the SB,Devahuti instantly achieved self-realization by her serving her husband KardamaMuni who was in trance meditating of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

And if she chants four rounds or even one round dailythan that will enableher to progress and advance even more rapidly and she will be able to understandyou more better spiritually. So please go for it.

Yoursin service, Swami Gaurangapada.
