Title: Lord Nitai & Two bodies

Two questions from Bhakta Hans, USA:

1) Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! While traveling to Jaganatha Puri Lord Niyananda became upset because there was a delay in providing Him with residential quarters and cursed Shivananda Sena (who was responsible for the arrangements) that his 3 sons would die. However, after arriving in Jaganatha Puri, Lord Chaitanya was very compassionate towards the children of Shivananda Sena.In the same context of this question: Lord Balarama did not agree that Arjuna would marry Subadra and disapproved strongly. However, Lord Krishna was in favor. My question is; how is it that Nityananda/Balarama who is a full expansion of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, contradict the will of the Lord?

Answer by Swami Gaurangapada:

In regard to the first pastime of the Supreme Lord Nityananda Prabhu getting angry and kicking Shrila Shivananda Sena, Lord Nityananda wanted to show His causeless mercy in the most unique and special manner to Shrila Shivananda Sena,

Lord Nityananda wanted to show His causeless mercy in the most unique and special manner to Shrila Shivananda Sena, as He was very pleased with the tireless services and dedication of Shrila Shivananda Sena of organizing and taking hundreds of associates of the Lord from Bengal to Jagannatha Puri every year.

So He externally became angry and kicked Shrila Shivananda Sena on his chest. Shrila Shivananda Sena started dancing in bliss. He considered that those lotus feet of Lord Nityananda which even rare to attain for Lord Shiva, Lord Brahma and Shrimati Lakshmi have touched my body. He was the most fortunate and happiest person in the world. So the anger of Lord Nityananda is also transcendental and specifically meant to show some unique and rare favor to His devotees.

In regards to the pastime of Lord Balarama not agreeing with Lord Krishna about the marriage of Arjuna and Their sister Subhadra, this apparent disagreement is simply to increase the intensity and pleasure of Lord Krishna's pastimes. Lord Nityananda Balarama's knows fully well what will increase the bliss of His Lord Gauranga-Krishna so He does accordingly even though it may externally appear to contradict Lord Gauranga-Krishna's desires. There are so many other pastimes in this regard like Lord Nityananda apparently disobeying the order of Lord Gauranga and visit Jagannatha Puri Dhama every year to be with the Lord. Of course no one should try to imitate Lord Nityananda and attempt to disobey the order of the Lord otherwise one will perish. This privilege is only meant for Lord Nityananda Balarama and no one else.
