Title: Kala Krishnadasa

User: Swami Gaurangapada Date: 2006-07-20 12:29:00

Nityanda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Gurudeva please accept my humble obeisances at your lotus feet. Pranams & Dandavats to all devotees. Lord Gauranga saved Shri Kala Krishnadasa from the tribals by pulling him from his hair. Gurudev but why did Shri Kala Krishnadasa go with the tribals and why did the Lord not stop him.?

Lord Gauranga is most mercifull,He freely distributed Love of Godhead to the fallen. Devotees are the very very dear to the Lord. Lord Krishna even broke His own promise just for a devotee. Lord is completely conquered by His devotees. Then why did Lord Gauranga reject Shri Kala Krishnadasa? Gurudeva, please explain this lila as it is very difficult to understand the significance and teaching of Lord Gauranga in this pastime..

Aspiring to be your servant.

Bhushan Nityananda dasa.

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna!

Answer by Swami Gaurangapada:

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Lord Gauranga wanted to teach the whole world through this pastime that even though the minute spirit soul may be in the direct audience of the Supreme Personality of Godhead in His pastimes in this material world, the soul can misuse the independence given to the soul by the Lord at any time if the soul is not a nitya-siddha or a sadhana-siddha associate of the Lord. So as long as we do not become perfect i.e. sadhana-siddha, we should be very careful in avoiding the bondage of the illusory energy of the Lord in all Her forms specifically by the continuous chanting of the Holy Names of Nityananda, Gauranga and Hare Krishna. Shrila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura Prabhupada explains that the Kala Krishna dasa in this pastime is different from the eternal nitya-siddha cowherd boyfriend associate of Lords Shri Shri Nityananda Gauranga, Shrila Kala Krishna dasa, who can never misuse his independence. This means that the Kala Krishna dasa in this pastime is a very fortunate sadhaka who got the opportunity to serve the Lord directly in His pastimes even though he was not siddha. This specifically happens in the Lord Gauranga's pastimes in this material world where He gives a chance to even the non-perfected sadhaka souls to serve His directly and become perfect whereas only the siddha perfected souls can enter into the spiritual world and serve Him directly. This pastime also illustrates Shrila Jiva Goswami's statement in Shri Navadvipa Dhama Mahatmya that gaura danta kara yadi tumi raksha kara..."O Lord Nityananda, you protect even those who are punished by Lord Gauranga", as Lord Nityananda sent Kala Krishna dasa to Shri Navadvipa Dhama and engaged him in the Lord's service even though Lord Gauranga did not want to accept direct service from him any longer. So another thing which Lord Gauranga wanted to show through this pastime is that Lord Nityananda is more merciful than His Own Self.
