Title: I always thought the Lords name refered to the neam tree

Hare Krishna,

I came accross this post in another forum, I could only think of you Maharaja who would be able to answer this nicly!

I ran across this quote from the Chaitanya Bhagavat but find no explaination anywhere. I always thought the Lords name refered to the neam tree that He took birth (appeared) under.

ihAna aneka jyeSTha kanyA-putra nAi

zeSa ye janmaye, tAra nAme se 'nimAi'

"Since you have lost many daughters, this child who is born at the end should be named 'Nimai'."

One meaning of "Nimna" in Sanskrit is youngest. Since Lord Gauranga would be youngest or last-born child of Shrila Jagannatha Mishra and Shrimati Shachimata, He was called as Nimai. Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Jaya Guru Parampara! Pranams :pranams: and Blessings :bless:!
