Title: Differences in descriptions

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! In the tenth Canto of the Shrimad Bhagavatam chapter 17 it is said that Krishna squeezed and sucked the life out of Putana who, being unable to conceal herself any longer, assumed her original form. The moment that Krishna sucked the life energy out of Putana they were in the house of Nanda Maharaja. However, the 12 mile original form of Putana fell dead in the pastering grounds. Shrila Prabhupada's purport (text 14) states that Putana, while dying, not only left the room but abandoned the village and fell down in the pasturing ground in her gigantic body.
In his Ananda Vrndavana Champu Shrila Kavi-Karnapura has a different explanation. He says: After accepting her poison milk, Krishna threw Putana's huge and hideous body out of town. If the body had fallen in the city it could have killed many residents. He also mentions: When the body of Putana fell to the ground, it smashed all the mango trees in King Kamsa fruit orchard. My observation is that the scriptures itself do not mention how Putana's body came to fall out of the village. Is the additional information of Shrila Prabhupada and of Shrila Kavi Karnapura personal realization? Assuming that both are right are the slight differences in those realizations based on different pastimes of the Lord during different incarnations or in different universes?

Thank you for reminding us of this nectarean pastime of Lord Krishna killing Putanaa. Actually you will find many transcendental differences in the descriptions of Shri Ananda Vrindavana Champu by Shrila Kavi Karnapura, Shrimad Bhagavatam by Shrila Shukadeva Goswami and Shri Gopala Champu by Shrila Jiva Goswami. Similarly, there are many differences in descriptions of the same pastime in Shri Chaitanya Bhagavata, Shri Chaitanya Mangala, and Shri Chaitanya Charitamrita.†
†To answer this question, first we have to understand that the Lord's perfomrs unlimitedly variegated pastimes which are ever-fresh and expanding at every moment and never the same. The Lord does not perform the same pastime in the same way ever again.
These pastimes are performed in two places: the spiritual world and the material world. In the spiritual world, they are known as Ashta Kaliya Lila or Daily Eightfold divine pastimes since there are 8 praharas in a day (1 praharas = 3 hours). In the material world, the Lord pastimes are also almost performed eternally because when Lord ends a particular pastime in one universe, it immediately begins in another universe. Like if Lord Krishna kills Putana in this universe in Dvapara yuga, immediately the next moment He will kill Putana in the Dvapara yuga of another universe and same with Lords Nityananda Gauranga's pastimes. And every single time, the Lord performs His pastimes either in the material or the spiritual world, the pastimes are different, fresh and new.
Lord Krishna and Lord Gauranga personally come only once in every 8,640,000,000 years (which is 24 hours of Brahma) in each universe but since there are zillions of universes in this material world, the Lord's pastimes are going on in atleast a few thousands of them at the same time. So in Brahma's lifespan of 100 years, the Lord personally comes a total of 36,500 times before the universe enters the body of Lord Mahavishnu for 311 trillion years when He inhales. After another 311 trillion years when Lord Mahavishnu exhales the universes are again manifested externally and remain for 311 trillion years or 100 years of Brahma. These descriptions are inconceivable and difficult to quantify but I trying to put them in words for the benefit of all.
Ok back to the point. So when the great Acharyas sit to pen down these divine pastimes of the Lord, there is a spontaneous revelation of these pastimes in their hearts by the causeless mercy of the Lord and His Holy Names. And the Lord may manifest each pastime is a different manner which He may performed in the spiritual or material world in different kalpas in the heart of each Acharya. So you will find these differences in description of the pastimes. They only prove the infinite variegatedness of the Lord's potencies.
