Abstract

There are many questions in modern cosmology that need to be answered before the big-bang can be accepted. The problems faced in modern cosmology, like quantum gravity formulation, still seem to be away from the grasp of physicists. These problems are due to the bottom up approach followed in our modern science. Some of the texts around the world contain information about the matter and the universe which are supposed to be the revealed ones. Especially, the sankhya philosophy of vedic literatures contains a lot of information on the matter and the universe. If both the modern and the vedic concepts can be fused together, this may lead to a better understanding of the nature. This paper tries to review problems associated with the modern cosmology and also presents the views of vedic cosmology which reflect very illuminating concepts.
