Padma Purana states:
dvatrimshad-aksharam mantram, nama-shodashakanvitam;
prajapan vaishnavo nityam, radha-krishna-sthalam labhet.
“Those devotees who always chant the Hare Krishna maha-mantra composed of sixteen names divided into thirty-two syllables attain Shri Vrindavana, the eternal abode of Shri Radha-Krishna. This is the ultimate fruit (phala) of chanting the maha-mantra.”
Padma Purana, Svarga Khanda (50.6) states:
harir eva samaradhyah, sarva deve sureshvarah;
hari nama maha-mantrair, nashyat papa pishacakam.
“All the grievous sins of one who one-pointedly worships Lord Shri Hari, the Lord of all the demigods and devotees, through the chanting of the Hare Krishna maha-mantra, are removed.”
