This place is situated in the district of Murshidabad on the banks of the Ganges. At this place Hari Nama Acarya, the disciple of Ramacandra Kaviraj, established a Deity called Krishna Raya.Shrila Visvanath Cakravarati, at a young age, also came here from Devagram to study Shrimad-Bhagavatam and other bhakti literatures from Shri Krishna Carana, a grand-disciple of Shri Narottama das Thakur. After mastering the bhakti sastras in a very short time, young Visvanath wished to accept Vaishnava diksa from his siksa guru. But Shri Krishna Carana, being quite old, advised him to take initiation from his disciple, Shri Radha Raman. Shrila Visvanath Cakravarti wrote three of his many famous books in Saidabad. They are: BhaktiRasamrta Sindhu Bindhu, Ujjvala Nilamani Kirana and Bhagavatamrta Kana. He taught Sanskrit in the home of his gurudeva and also lectured on the principles of devotion.
Shrila Visvanath Cakravarti wrote over 40 books and commentaries on devotion and became the guiding inspiration of the whole Gaudiya Vaishnava Sampradaya. He left this world on Vasanta Pancami, in the month of Magh, in the year 1730 A.D., at the most glorious place in all the universe, Shri Radha Kunda. Jay Jay Shri Radhe! Jay Jay Shri Radhe!
