Lord Nityananda on the Beach
By Swami Gaurangapada

Very sorry to stop the flow of realizations for the past few days. Just did not get time. Please forgive me. Today while chanting on the sea beach at Puri Dhama, I could experience Lord Nityananda bathing in the sea on the beach. The more I chanted the Holy Name of Lord Nityananda, the more I saw how Lord Nityananda was so blissful swimming in the very sea which embraced the transcendental form of Lord Gauranga in it's waves daily. Lord Nityananda is always the most ecstatic by touching the items which have touched the transcendental body of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu. In Navadvipa Dhama, Lord Nityananda embraces crocodiles in the Ganga in His wild and fearless love for Lord Gauranga and in the ocean in Puri Dhama, Lord Nityananda creates huge tidal waves in the ocean which indicate that His only desire is that the gigantic tidal wave of Lord Gauranga's Name and Pastimes drowns every city, town and village of the world.

I also had a very strong realization today which confirms the verse in Hari Nama Chintamani by Seventh Goswami Shrila Saccidananda Bhaktivinoda Thakura: sarvendriya sphurti haya ananda nartana...Of forms of chanting the Holy Names including Japa, Kirtana or singing of the Holy Names, with or without instruments, alone or in the association of the devotees, is the most potent and powerful method to calm the turbulent mind. It is only through Kirtana that all the unconscious senses of the body are enlivened and enlightened with pure spiritual happiness of the Holy Names and which makes the senses calm enough to concentrate during soft Japa chanting to oneself. During Kirtana, the senses get soaked up and nourished in the nectar of the Holy Names and thus they are gradually spiritualized. In Narottama Vilasa by Shrila Narahari Chakravarti Thakura, Shrila Narottama dasa Thakura and all his elevated disciples perform Kirtana constantly during the day and intersperse it with Japa or soft chanting on beads completing the chanting of 100,000 Holy Names daily.

Ohh how glorious would it be to have been an insect where Shrila Narottama and his pure devotee disciples were chanting, dancing and doing japa! Why have I taken birth after just a few hundred years after these pure devotees of Lords Nityananda-Gauranga have disappeared after performing their most confidential pastimes? Why did I miss them by just a few hundred years? Since they all generally come once (some of them more than once) in 8,640,000,000 years, one would have less cause to lament if one would have been born after some thousands or millions of years after they had advented and disappeared.Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! In the service of the Holy Names of Nityananda, Gauranga and Hare Krishna.
