Dear Swami Gauranga Pada, Please accept my respectful obeisances, all glories to Srila Prabhupada,
When I listen to Srila Prabhupadas lectures and morning walks he will very often especially at the end conclude with the instruction "chant Hare Krishna." We are already familiar with Prabhupadas quotes from CC and other acaryas regarding the importance of chanting Nitaynanda Gauranga Nam and pancha tattva Maha mantra, but why is it that Prabhupada is most of the time emphasising the Hare Krishna Maha mantra in his lectures and purports?

Nityaananda! Gauraanga! Hare Krishna! Chanting Hare Krishna is essential which is why Shrila Prabhupada always requests us to chant the Hare Krishna Mahamantra in order to please Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu. But we have to understand that, by saying "Chant Hare Krishna", he is never de-emphasizing the chanting of the Nityaananda and Gauraanga Mantrarajas. If that would be the case, then it would contradict his own instructions given in Shri Chaitanya Charitamrita about the essential nature of Nityaananda Gauraanga Naama. So that is not the right understanding.
Logically speakling, when we emphasize one specific positive thing to others, it does not normally mean that we are de-emphasizing the important of other positives thing or don't want others to perform those other positive things. It is quite simple and logical. We have to accept Shrila Swami Prabhupada's teachings and writings holisitically not part by part. Thank you.
Daaso'smi, Swami Gaurangapada.

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krsna All glories to Swami Gaurangapada There is no difference between Gaura Naam and Hare Krsna because Lord Gauranga is Sri Sri Radha Krsna combined. Srilla Bhaktisidhanta Sarasvati Thakura said - sri krsna caitanya radha krsna nahe anya. There is no difference, except that Gaura Naam is more merciful. Jei gauranga nama loi tara hoi prema doy. Gauranga means Radha - Krsna and Radha-Krsna means Gauranga. In absolute level Gaura lila is complete only with Radha-Krsna lila, and highest peak of Radha-Krsna lila is within Gaura lila. Acintya bheda abheda tatva. Chanter of Gaura Naam and chanter of Hare Krsna are on same absolute level. On highest level devotee who chant Gaura Naam will chant Hare Krsna and devotee who chant Hare Krsna will chant Gaura Naam. Both of such chanters will finally realize that there is no difference. Srilla Haridasa Thakura gave us this lesson with his last breathe - he chanted Name of Lord Caitanya, and he is our Naam Acharya. That is beauty of supreme love - unity in diversity.
