Meditation on the lotus feet of Lord Nityananda while chanting the NG Mantrarajas -- By Swami Gaurangapada

Yes all forms of meditation have to begin with the meditation on the form of the Lord. And meditation on the form has to begin with deep meditation on His lotus feet. Th meditation on the most merciful Lord Nityananda's Lotus feet and form while chanting the Nityananda-Gauranga Mantrarajas is the most powerful in the beginning for every sadhaka.

In fact the meditation on the lotus feet of Lord Nityananda is the original cause of our success in chanting the Nityananda-Gauranga Mantrarajas. When you chant the Gauranga Mantraraja in Nityananda-Gauranga, you can meditate how Lord Nityananda's form is full with bliss of pure love for Lord Gauranga.

> * What is the proper method for meditating on the Lotus Feet?

Making the chanting of the Mantrarajas one with the Lord's lotus feet. Live waves are one with ocean. Meditation on the auspicious signs on the feet, reddish soles, the jewel-like toenails, the anklebells studed with rubies and diamonds etc etc of Lord Nityananda.

> * What is the meaning of each auspicious sign? I couldn't
> find any specific literature that describes them.

You can keep a picture of the soles of the Lotus feet of Lord Nityananda who is the Original Guru of all Gurus and meditate on the auspicious signs. I will send the picture next time with the meanings if you do not have it.

> * What is the difference between meditating on the Lotus Feet
> and the Lotus Hands? Which one should one first meditate?

The Lotus Feet are first then one has to gradually rise ankles, thighs, waist, navel, abdomen, stomach, Chest, hands, shoulders, neck, lotus face, lotus smile, hair, ornaments etc. After rising up to the Lotus face of Lord Nityananda you can then begin with the lotus feet of Lord Gauranga and follow the same sequence! If required for this meditation you chant separate rounds of the Nityananda Mantraraja for meditation on Lord Nityananda's form and then separate rounds of the Gauranga Mantaraja for meditation on Lord Gauranga's form.

When both the Forms of the Lord are firmly establishing in your chanting, then Their transcendental Qualities will arise and then gradually Their Pastimes, Abode and Associates!

And then one can move on to meditating on the forms of Radha and Krishna while chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra in a similar way.

I am so happy you are going deep into the chanting of the Nityananda-Gauranga Mantrarajas.

> First I'd like to thank you so much from my heart and soul
> for your mercy and for the initiation today. I felt very
> humble, joyful, and eternally grateful.

I also want to thank you so much for your determination to chant the Names of Nityananda-Gauranga!

Wonderful, Gauranga-Lila is topmost treasure in this universe as per Navadvipa-Dhama-Mahatmya!

From Shri Navadvipa-dhama-mahatmya by Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura, Chp
6, Lord Nityananda Prabhu tells Shrila Jiva Goswami:

hetha aparadhi paya prema-tattva dhana;
ataeva ei gaura-lila sarvopari dhana.

"In Vrindavan the offenders are killed by the Lord and they achieve
liberation. In Navadvipa however, the offenders achieve pure love for
Lord Gauranga. That is why the pastimes of Lord Gauranga is the topmost
treasure in this universe." (even more merciful than Krishna-lila.)

Daaso'smi, Swami Gaurangapada.
