Krishna as father and Dasya Rasa

Post Author: Bhakta Matus    Date: 2007-11-23 16:53:09
Dear Swami Gaurangapada Gurudeva,
Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Please accept my humble obeisances.

While reading the last chapter of Shri Chaitanya Bhagavata, Adi-khanda, I encountered a statement about dasya-rasa by Shrila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakura Prabhupada which I don't understand so well:

"Being situated in the mood of pure dasya-rasa as a servant of Krishna, the Lord considered Krishna as His father and Himself as the son and began to speak as follows: "O father, Krishna, You are My life and soul. Where did You go after stealing My heart? I have become overwhelmed by not finding the object stolen by You. But I have certainly understood that the same thief who has stolen My heart is My maintainer and protector." (CB 1.17.116 purport)

Does addressing Lord Gauranga Krishna as 'father' belong to the dasya-rasa, servitorship?

Thank You very much.

Yours, Matus

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Dasa means servant. The child is normally an order-carrier of the father. The child carries out the orders of the father. So it can be said that the child feels dasya rasa (servitorship) for the father. And the father feels vatsalya rasa for the child. So addressing the Lord as one's child means a relation in vatsalya rasa with the Lord and addressing Him as father means a mood of dasya rasa for the Lord.

@ Igor

The eternal positions of being the Lord's sons in Dvaraka has already been taken by the nitya-siddha associates of the Lord in the spiritual world. One can however become the servants and assistants of these sons of the Lord and still connect with the Lord in dasya-rasa in the abode of Dvaraka in the spiritual world if the soul has the constitutional position in Dvaraka.

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krsna
This is most interesting. Does it means that in dasya rasa jiva may attain position of Lord's son? Is it possiable? Lord Krsna in Dvaraka had many sons, so is it possiable for person to attain position of Lord's son?
