I am looking for articles, essays etc. that deal with living in the dhama
Nityaananda! Gauraanga! Hare Krishna! I would suggest that such an article be written for each of the four Dhaams separately: (1) Navadvipa (2) Vraja (3) Puri and (4) Ekachakra. The first part of the article could focus on the verses about the importance to reside in that particular Dhaam since the glories of residence in each of these Dhaams are uniquely described in the scriptures. One part of the article could focus on things what we should not do in the Dhaamas. And another about the bhajana which we can practice in the Dhaama. Another part could focus on qualifications and conscious required for long-term Dhaamvaasa. For example, Dhaamavaasa in Vraja has more stricter requirements than Navadvipa or Puri etc. One part could discuss the importance of advanced association during Dhaamavaasa.
I am happy you have a kutira at Shri Govardhana...nija nikata nivaasa dehi govardhana tvam. That is wonderful. I personally though, prefer the Gaura Vihita Govardhana of Chataka Parvata in Vamshivata Yameshvata Tota Puri which was the Govardhana of Shrila Sarasvati Prabhupada (he stayed there until 24 days before his disapp) and also the Giri Govardhana in Mayapura next to Shri Radha Kunda in Vrajapattana. They are even more merciful and do not consider offenses especially for me who needs more causeless mercy. Even Paramhansa Babajis like Shrila Jagannatha Dasa and Shrila Gaura Kishora Dasa chose Navadvipa (Gaura Lila Sthala) for their Bhajana after performing nirjana bhajana in Vraja for many decades. Shrila Sarasvati Prabhupada also made Navadvipa and Puri his headquarters both for his bhajana and preaching just as Lord Gauranga did. Since I am very fallen, I desire to learn from these actions of these great souls and reside near the Govardhanas in Gauda Mandala. Thank you for reminding me of Shri Giriraja.
Daaso'smi, Swami Gaurangapada.

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna!
I would also read Our Eternal Home Navadvipa compiled and written by Swami Gaurangapada. It is very inspiring, intelligently put together and filled with spiritual potencies.
