Title: Convert Sanskrit Diacritics to Plain Text
User: Swami Gaurangapada Date: 2006-01-26 08:13:00
You can now convert any text which has Sanskrit Diacritic letters (which can only be read if someone has a diacritic font) to normal English text which can be read in any font by copying and pasting your text in the box at zipped html file: "http://www.nitai.in/convert.html"]http://www.nitai.in/convert.html and clicking Remove Balaram -> Click to Convert. Then you can select all and paste it wherever you want. You can also download the [URL="http://www.naam-yoga.org/Downloads/Software/convert.zip" of this diacritic remover for offline conversion. I have added some code to this page so that the converted text remains as accurate as possible to the original sanskrit diacritic text to help in proper pronunciation. If you want to submit a post or comment on Nitai.in which includes these sanskrit diacritic marks in the text body (for example quotes and verses), then please use this converter to remove the diacritics before posting it. The biggest problem with the diacritics is not only they make the text unreadable with a normal font but also unsearchable. Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Jaya Guru Parampara! Pranams and Blessings!
