Title: sharing some realisations

User: Igor     Date: 2006-04-19 10:44:54

Nityananda! Gauranga!

Dear Swami Gaurangapada and devotees I would like to share with you some small realization about chanting. I started to chant 10 rounds of Nityananda and Gauranga mantras and 10 rounds of Hare Krishna mantra. By chanting Nityananda and Gauranga I have feeling that some small door of mercy is opening toward chanting Hare Krishna. Before, I used to chant Hare Krishna and by chanting maha mantra naturally there was some remembrance - Radha, Krishna, Vrindavana, Balarama. But to chant maha mantra without offences we need mercy of Nityananda and Gauranga. There is no better way to get that mercy but chanting their Holy names! By practicing this chanting some small realization is here - by chanting Nityananda naturally we are addressing to Nitay, meditating on His form, pastimes and associates. By listening His Holy Name all auspicious is here. Then with mercy of Nitay we are approaching Lord Gauranga and by listening His Name we can get mercy to approach realm of Vrindavana and to chant Hare Krishna, kirtaniyah sada hari! I become very enthusiastic to chant Holy Names! So I just want to share such small realizations with you. Gaura-Nitay ki jay! Nitay-Gaura bhakta vrnda ki jay!  - Igor.

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Igor, thanks for your astute and nice realizations about Nityananda Gauranga Naam. I can see that you have grasped the confidential truth very quickly due to your sincerity. You are right that the proof in the pudding is eating it. Unless one chants Nityananda Gauranga Naam, there is no way to theoretically realize or speculate how easy it will become to approach the Hare Krishna Mahamantra and Shri Shri Radha Krishna.

Nityananda! Gauranga!

Thank you very much for your kind answer. There are some more realizations that I want to share with you and other devotees. I started to chant 10 rounds of Mantrarajas and Hare Krishna Mahamantra and when I started I made simple vow – whatever is happening that will be my first and most important thing – to chant!

For first several days it was very difficult – I felt it like test – here on radio station where I am working we had some technical problems so that day I chanted till midnight, next day some quests came just when I had time for chanting etc. but I was very determined to finish my rounds. After several days situation completely changed, I started to chant more peacefully, all disturbances stopped and I started to chant early in the morning, to make prasadam for Lord and then to go to my daily job.  Few days later my wife Marija also started to chant Nityananda and Gauranga Mantrarajas on her japa and she said that she never felt such positive attitude for chanting. She said to me last night – “If we continue to chant names of Nityananda and Gauranga we will soon only chanting and then all what we can do is to reside in Navadvip and chant!”

Few days ago also one more interesting thing happened. I suggested to my wife that we should have small Gaura-Nitay Deities, and on that way we should chant Their Names and Maha Mantra in front of Their Lordships, read Chaitanya-Bhagavata and offer them some nice preparations. I wrote one letter to my friend Ivesvara Prabhu ( he is living in Navadvip, but he is devotee from this country ) and asked him is it possible to bring small Gaura-Nitay Deities, that I have desire to worship Them. And he replied – “That is interesting, I was just thinking to whom I will bring Deities this year when I got letter from you”. He will came here at the end of May and bring us Gaura-Nitay Deities! Nityananda! Gauranga!

So, some positive changes are here, within and without. That is all your mercy and mercy of chanting Nityananda and Gauranga Mantrarajas! I am humbly praying only to have your association and chant Nityananda Gauranga and Hare Krishna Maha Mantra! Thank you!

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna!

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Yes, Shri Shri Nityananda Gauranga Deities are coming to you and Marija to accept your worship because you have started chanting Their Holy Names. The chanting of the Nityananda and Gauranga Mantrarajas brings such rapid spiritual advancement to the chanter which is otherwise unimaginable by other means in Kali Yuga. They are full with unprecedented mercy...kevala ananda kanda...and the essence of all Holy Names...saba avatara saara shiromani.

Nityananda, Gauranga, Hare Krishna!

I've also been looking for the Shri Shri Nityananda Gauranga Deities and only a few weeks ago I at last found these beautiful Deities.

"Synchronicity" is a strange thing, but as Swamiji teaches us, this fact is a sign from Their Lordships who are showering Their mercy upon us. Jaya Gaura Nitay!

Yours in the service of the Holy Names of Nityananda, Gauranga and Hare Krishna,

Damodara Svarupa dasa

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Yes, certainly, if They don't shower Their mercy on the rare devotees in this world who are directly chanting Their Holy Names along with Hare Krishna Mahamantra, then They will have difficulty in finding the proper recepients because it is only Their Holy Names which make us offenseless and qualified to receive Their mercy and invite Them in our hearts and home. Jaya Nityananda Gauranga!!!

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! All glories to sublime chanting of Nityananda and Gauranga Mantrarajas! Nityananda! Gauranga!

Dear Swami Gaurangapada and devotees, there are some more small realizations that I want to share with you. Nityananda! Gauranga!

Due to some unknown bhakti sukrti, I came in contact with you and started to chant Nityananda! Gauranga! and only after month of such regular practice I want to say that my whole life changed tremendously. Jaya Nitay! I came in contact with Shrilla Prabhupada’s books in 1989, in my schooldays, and from that time I am trying to practice this process, associate with devotees, learning philosophy, following principles and chanting Holy Names. Hardest of all, almost impossible for me was to chant Holy Names regularly and with concentration, in first years I started to chant 4 then 8 and 16 rounds daily, but my chanting was unstable and without concentration.

There was no, no taste for such practice for years. For years! I had some taste for philosophy, for learning verses and reading Bhagavatam and Chaitanya Charitamrita, but to chant Holy Names regularly on japa – that was impossible for me.  Now I know – I was constantly making numerous offences to Naam Prabhu – nama aparadha – and only cure in that situation is to chant Hare Krishna constantly –  but how to do it if someone have problem to chant one, two, four or even sixteen  rounds? What would such person do? That was my situation. Some philosophical knowledge was there, but in practice – very little. I was chanting only externally, mind was restless, thinking about unlimited things, and usually there was feeling that this is only duty and I murmured my rounds. That was great problem!

Nityananda! Gauranga! I am sitting here in front of my computer and I am astonish how sublime and merciful is chanting Nityananda! Gauranga! Only after one month of such regular practice, chanting become most precious and most stimulating part of day, all obstacles simply vanished! I just spent last two hours chanting Nityananda, Gauranga  and Hare Krishna, sitting and listening. That feeling within my hearth is supreme evidence or praman for me. There is no need anymore for any philosophical debate, no need for elaborate knowledge, all such practices are useless and tasteless!

This process is simple and sublime – just by chanting Nityananda! Gauranga! fortunate jiva is protected and can approach and chant Hare Krishna! Then person get some little taste to read about Nityananda and Gauranga, and by reading taste for chanting is also increasing, and again by chanting some remembrance is there also! Sravanam, kirtanam, smaranam…

Yes Swami, you gave nice explanation in one lecture – this is secret of all secrets! Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! In such practice there is no trace of artificial dharma, artha, kama or moksa – if person start to chant Nityananda Gauranga regularly all anarthas will simply go away and chanting will become regular, focused, intensive and ecstatic and all good qualities like humility, sense control, knowledge, sincerity etc will be manifested within hearth! Nityananda! Gauranga!

Sorry if I made this post long. I just want to share my feelings and realizations with you. I am hoping that this will help others to chant more and more and more Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! dayala nitai chaitanya bole’ nac re amara mana!

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Thankyou dear Igor. Please keep such nice realizations coming. They are very inspiring. As you said, the taste for chanting is instantly attained by chanting Nityananda Gauranga. I have seen in the kirtans when the chanting of Hare Krishna Mahamantra is going on people are not that absorbed because of a lack of taste due to one's offenses but as soon as the chanting of Nityananda Gauranga Naam, they eyes lit up and they feel the direct presence of the Lord as there are no offenses considered in this chanting. That is why I do a lot of singing of Nityananda Gauranga Naam and then after that when they chant the Hare Krishna Mahamantra, they get a glimpse of the real beauty of Hari Naam as their offenses are destroyed by Nityananda Gauranga Naam and they are noew qualified to approach Hari Naam.
