Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna!
Dear Swami Gaurangapada and assembled devotees,
Please accept my simple obiesances.
Thank you for this opportunity to share. I have been reading and listening to the Saints and have heard wonderful things. I wish to express them in this letter, which I hope will grow to be a constant meditation of the heart.
Thank you for the devotees who made the multi-media slideshow of 12 Names of Lord Nitai, and 100 Names of Lord Gauranga. It is very beautiful.
I cannot properly chant your Holy name.
Please appear in my heart, and remove the multitude of offences that reside there.
I have heard that a soul can either be contaminated or purified by association.
I know of no greater association than the Vaishnava’s, Guru, and Naam.
To gain this association I know now, from the words of MahaPrabhu, that I need to be humble in approach, to be tolerant of all shortcomings that are found in this material world, and to give all respect to others in my heart, desiring nothing in return.
O Krishna, O Gauranga , O Nityananda Prabhu, may your Names constantly be sung and chanted from the core of my heart. Begging you daily…”please grant me your association and purify me”.
I have heard that a young devotee used to hear Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura chanting on his rooftop in the early hours of the morning. He described Shrila Thakura’s chanting as sounding like, “a heartfelt cry to the Lord.” May this mood and approach manifest in my chanting.
I feel in my heart that the beginning of true spiritual life is faith. Faith that you are non-different to, and fully present in your Holy Names. All your Names are Glorious.
The Names of Nityananda, Gauranga, and Hare Krishna are sweet as nectar.
O GaurangaKrishna my prayer is that oneday I may be able to taste a tiny drop of that Nectar. Then and only then will my heart be satisfied.
May this letter and prayer to you be my constant meditation; like a thirsty cataka bird with its mouth raised to the clouds, waiting for the clouds to break.
Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare!
Your fallen servant…Nava Gauranga dasa.
