Title: Lord Nityananda's Mercy in Ekacakra

Nityananda, Gauranga Hare Krishna!

Pranams to all the devotees of the Supreme Lord. Recently I was fortunate to visit (27 June 2007)the most holy dhama Ekacakra of the supremely merciful Lord Nityananda Rama. I had travelled along with Swami Gaurangapada, who was guiding myself and my family throughout this wonderful yatra.

I had long nourished the desire to take complete shelter of Ekacakra by rolling on the dhama and covering my entire body with the rarely attainable dust of the holy dhama. After honoring the esctatic prasadam served by the devotees there, I was ready. I was standing in the court yard of Lord Nityananda's parents residence ( Hadai pandit and padmavati ) where Lord Nityananda had performed 12 years of super excellent pastimes. So on my left side was Lord Nityananda's parents residence and on my right side was Nitai kund ( the holy pond used by Lord Nityananda and his parents).

After removing my glasses, wrist watch and upper garment wearing a banian and dhoti, I lay down in the courtyard and started gently rolling on the ground. I might have rolled around three to four times, when I lost control of my bodily movement. I distinctly felt some divine energy had taken control of my body and my body started spinning with a fast pace around the court yard in a circular orbit. I immediately realized it was the Lord's mercy and felt very esctatic. My body had finished rotating around the court yard two to three times when I sarted feeling my head was spinning. Then I called out Lord Nityananda's name loudly and my body started to slow down and came to a stop. Then I realized that I was lying prostrate on the ground facing the Lord's holy residence. For a few more minutes I lay in that position to let my head stop spinning and to regain my composure. Though the courtyard had a rough surface strewn with pebbles and stones, by the mercy of Lord Nityananda I had no feeling of pain or discomfort, inspite of the fast spinning of my body over the court yard. Another miracle was that if my body had gone spinning around straight instead of in a circular fashion, I could have landed in the Nitai kund which was just fifteen feet away.

Afterwards when I thought about this incident I felt that Lord Nityananda wanted me to realize the mercy and glory of Ekacakra dhama, by kindly allowing this body to become like a cakra (wheel) collecting the invaluable dust of Ekacakra which is eagerly sought after by great sages and saints.

All glories to Nityananda's dhama Ekacakra

All glories to Hadai pandita and Padmavati

All glories to Nityananda who is affectionately addressed as Mahaprabhu by His devotees and associates in Ekacakra.

All glories to Swami Gaurangapada by whose mercy one can surely attain the mercy of Lord Nityananda.

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krsna!

Thank you prabhu for sharing about your visit to the holy dham.

In a material sense I am thousands of mile away from these holy places of the Lord's pastimes, but surely when His devotees sing the glories of the dham such distance is mere illusion.

I feel that by the mercy of the holy name and the devotees, that the dham is very close.

Jaya Gaura-Nitai!
