Text 18

 

chidyeta khandasa idam yadi me sariram

     ghora-vipad-vitatayo yadi va patanti

ha hanta hanta na tathapi kadapi bhuyad

     shri-godrumad itara-tuccha-pade pipasa

 

yadi o sarira mora khanda khanda haya,

vishama vipatti-jala mastake padaya

tathapi godruma chadi anya tirtha pade,

na hau amara asa sampade bipade

 

Translation by Swami Gaurangapada:

 

“If my body is torn into hundreds of pieces, or if hosts of horrible calamities fall on my head-oh, even then I will never ever desire to leave Shri Godruma and go to other insignificant places.
