Title: The power of the Names

The heatwave  across Europe continues . Unlike our Indian brothers we are not used to it! It seems to me that there are parallels with our spiritual lives. In order to grow we need to create a micro-climate, today I watered the plants outside and sprinkled water around to give them a mini climate cooler than the world outside. I feel I do the same when I take Refuge of The Names. I emerge refreshed and nourished. The Marvelous thing about The Names is that they, by their intrinsic nature, bring about a balancing effect on the chanter. In winter The Names warm us up! In summer they cool us. What is more difficult of course is to carry that effect with us through the day, I am still a learner in that endevour. I am grateful for The Vaisnavs who have trod, or who are still treading, the dusty path before us.
