Dear Gurudeva and all other assembled devotees I am very happy to tell that this night at time of brahma-muhurta my wife Marija gave birth to our child. We gave him name Mario(from name Marija) . I am praying at your lotus feet please bestow your causeless mercy to my child, so that he can become nice devotee and make spiritual advance in this life.

It is a good service opportunity for Marija to raise the child in Gauranga Krishna consciousness. Mario is a nice name but I would like to call the child Nimai dasa.

Is there anything more desirable then blessings of vaisnavas? Simply by blessing or wish of vaisnava any soul may attain perfection very soon. When Supreme Enjoyer - Lord Krsna is eager to fulfill desires of His devotees - how we can understand great fortune of vaisnava blessing!

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Though Mario is a nice name but still you, Marija and others will not get any spiritual benefit from speaking or hearing that name many times a day throughout your lives. The goal and conclusion of all the scriptures is to constantly remind us and our near and dear ones of the auspicious Holy Names of the Lord. Thus we should unhesitatingly name our child with the Lord's principal names so that we can also be saved at the time of death like Ajamila was, simply because he chanted the Lord's Holy Name of Narayana, while calling his child whose name was Narayana. And the child will also be saved because he gets to hear and chant his own name which is actually the Holy Name of the Lord. I would say that the most cleverest thing Ajamila did was to name his child as Narayana which ended up saving him from gruesome suffering at the hands of the Yamadutas at the time of his death. Also consider the fact that anyone who chants the name of your child when he is in school or college or at work or with family relatives, friends etc. as he grows up, will get the golden chance to chant the direct Holy Name of the Lord and thus receive great spiritual benefit (sukriti) for their souls which is freedom from the cycle of birth and death. Thus we can deliver thousands of souls simply by naming our child with the Lord's main Holy Names.
