Title: Long journey by train and Naam

User: Swami Gaurangapada Date: 2006-05-13 15:04:53

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! I have completed a very long journey by the train which was 8 hours late and have reached Bangalore. On the train, I got the opportunity to realize how merciful the Holy Names of Nityananda, Gauranga and Hare Krishna are. The Holy Names are always with us in all circumstances. We simply have to vibrate Them constantly and associate with the Lord. While chanting my favorite subject of meditation is to get absorbed in the eternal pastimes of the Lord going on in the eternal Navadvipa and Vraja. I could remember these divine pastimes even while sitting in the train. Thanks to you, O Naam Prabhus!!! I had to celebrate Shri Nrisingha Chaturdashi on the train but as Shrila Gaura Kishore dasa Babaji used to say that the best way to celebrate is chanting and fasting. I pray to Lord Nrisinghadeva to kindly remove all obstacles in my chanting so that I can vividly remember the Lord's pastimes while chanting. krishna smarana vina nishphala jivana...I remember how Gaura Kishore dasa Babaji was about to drown in the Ganga when his lila-smarana stopped while chanting.

On the train, I also completed the English versification of some more verses of the Nityananda Gauranga Naam Mahima Mahastota. I will post them in another thread.

Here in Bangalore, Bilvamangala Thakura dasa prabhu's big marble Deities of Shri Shri Radha Krishna are beautiful and smiling enchantingly. Fortunately, he has kept his Shri Shri Nityananda Gauranga Deities in my room so that I can always have Their sweet sanga. We just had a small program with a multimedia slideshow on the Navadvipa yatra and other pastimes. I distributed the last two copies of the book Nityananda Gauranga Naam which had been published in limited quantity thanks to Modadruma Gauranga dasa and Bhushan Nityananda dasa. Let's hope we can print more soon. More tomorrow.
