Swami Gaurangapada Vyasa Puja 5th Dec 2005
Nityananda, Gauranga, Hare Krishna!
My dearest Swamiji Gaurangapda,
nama om gaurangapadaya nitai-presthaya bhutale;
shrimate bhaktiratna sadhu iti namine.
"I offer my humble obeisances unto His Holiness Tridandi Bhikshu Shrila Bhaktiratna Sadhu Swami Gaurangapada, who is very dear to Lord Shri Nityananda Prabhu, having taken shelter at Lord Shri Gauranga Mahaprabhu's lotus feet."
"He is instrumental in preaching, spreading and distributing the glories of the most merciful Holy Names, Pastimes, Associates and Abodes of the Supreme Lords Nityananda Gauranga and the distribution of the ebooks and paperbooks of Their divine glories."
Please accept my humble obeisances at Your lotus feet. On this truly auspicious day, I would like to glorify You for the immense work You have done for all Your devotees by sharing the greatest gifts one could ever imagine: the Haladhara Balarama Mantra, the Gaura Gopala Mantra, the MahaMantra along with Your mercyful guidance and Your teachings which help us on our way to Godhead.
When I received the Mahadiksha kit last July, I felt so immensely happy that I was given the chance to chant on the same mala on which You had previously chanted during the Pandava Nirjala Ekadashi. I realized that these Holy Mantras are the same Mantras the blessed author of Shri Chaitanya Bhagavata used to chant so many years ago! I also realized that all Your Gurus chanted these Mantras and that by Nityananda's mercy You've now taught me to chant these Mantras as well.
I would like to honor You for all of this with the words from the song Guru-vastakam:
“By the mercy of the spiritual master one receives the benediction of Krishna. Without the grace of the spiritual master, one cannot make any advancement. Therefore, I should always remember and praise the spiritual master. At least three times a day I should offer my respectful obeisances unto the lotus feet of my spiritual master.” Thank You for being such a merciful Guru!
Yours in the service of the Holy Names, Nityananda, Gauranga and Hare Krishna,
