Gurudeva, give to this servant just one drop of mercy. I am lower than a blade of grass. Give me all help. Give me strength. Le me be as you are, without desires and aspirations.

I offer you all respects, for thus I may have the energy to know you correctly. Then, by chanting the holy name in great ecstasy, all my offenses will cease.

When will such mercy fall to this one who is weak and devoid of intelligence? Allow me to be with you.

If you examine me, you will find no qualitites. Your mercy is all that I am made of. If you are not merciful unto me I can only weep, and I will not be able to maintain my life.

Shri Guru is the direct manifestation of the mercy of Lord Nityananda. Everything in the material and spiritual world exists because of the mercy of Shri Balaram. The material manifestation rests on the hoods of lord Ananta, Lord Balaram maniftests himself as the bed, the clothes, the ornaments, infact everything used in the lord’s service in the spiritual and material world. Likewise, everything in the spiritual and material endeavours of a soul depends entirely on the mercy of Shri Guru.

Oh! most merciful spiritual mentor, I thank you very very much for taking charge of this foolish and most fallen jiva-atma. The most important relationship that exists in the creation for a soul, is his relationship with his Shri Guru- because it is only he who can take him out of this cycle of birth and death, this place of misery and sorrow, this place of envy and hatred back to his original consitutional position of serving and loving. I take this day as an opportunity to thank you very much for being a most loving Spiritual Father. Like all children at times I have been a good sincere soul endeavouring to surrender and at times been attacked by the demons of doubts and mayadevi attacking because of my weak spiritual strength, but under all circumstances you have most patiently and lovingly tolerated me and only helped me to improve. I pray to you to bless me so that I can follow all your instructions with the discipline required from a disciple - I request you to forgive my countless offenses.

Dearmost Gurudev you have shown me hope and light by bestowing the most merciful names of Nityananda and Gauranga. You are an ocean of mercy and kindness and I have realised that the way to please my Shri Guru is to chant more and more of these two merciful names, Nityananda, Gauranga, Nityananda, Gauranga!

ha, ha, Prabhu kara daya, deha mora pada-chaya,

ebe jasa ghusuk tribhuvana.

O Spiritual master, ocean of mercy and friend of the fallen souls, you are the teacher of everyone and the life of all people. O master! Be merciful unto me, and give me the shade of your lotus feet. May your glories now be proclaimed throughout the three worlds.

I pray to their Lordships to keep you in good health and offer my heartfelt respects and love unto your lotus feet on this most auspicious day.
