Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Jaya Guruparampara! All glories to the assembled devotees! Dear Swami Gaurangapada, please accept my humble obeisances. I am writing to you in advance for your Appearance Day on the 24th November as per the Vaishnava Calendar (22nd November as per the English Calendar). More »
nama om gaurangapadaya nitai-presthaya bhutale;
shrimate bhaktiratna sadhu iti namine.
This is a very special day, as the appearance in this world of a soul attached deeply to the Holy Names is very rare. Just a moments association of such a soul, is greater than the boons of liberation or, any material opulence or gift. In fact such a moments association, I feel, is the perfection of life.
The sincere devotee, and especially guru, is a direct gift to the aspirant seeking mercy, a gift directly from Nityananda Prabhu. As Madhai lamented constantly in his heart, for his great offences, Nityananda Prabhu instructed him to build a bathing place and offer respects to all devotees there. So too, Gurudeva is an ocean of mercy, and well-wisher for all fallen souls.
To follow Gurudeva’s instruction to chant, chant, and chant and to seek shelter of Gauranga Mahaprabhu, is the essence I have gleaned from your pleasing words. A debt I can only repay by developing more and more sincerity for this spiritual path, day by day, till last breath. And to nurture graciousness and kindness as sentiments of the heart, for all souls, especially those lost in this place of suffering. And develop high regard for all saints (Vaishnava’s), whose path we must honor and never disrespect. By your mercy, such values are attainable.
Dear Gurudeva, I wish you all blessings. Nityananda Prabhu is well pleased with souls who surrender to His Lord. To meet you is the best grace I have been given. May our hearts become fully joyful, realizing the Lord’s great love. Thank you so much.
Aspiring to be a sincere disciple, Nava Gauranga dasa.
