‘Radha-Krishna’ Bal Bal

Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura

‘radha-krishna’ bal bal bala re sabai

(ei) shiksha diya, saba nadiya, phirche nece’ gaura-nitai

(miche) mayara vashe, jaccha bhese’, khaccha habudubu, bhai (1)

Everyone, chant, chant, chant “Radha-Krishna.” Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and

Nityananda Prabhu are dancing, roaming throughout Navadvipa and instructing all.

O brothers! All of you chant this holy name of Radha-Krishna. You have uselessly come

under the control of maya, sometimes floating and sometimes drowning in the ocean

of material happiness and distress.

(jiva) krishna-dasa, e vishvasa, karle to’ ara duhkha nai

(krishna) balbe jabe, pulaka ha’be, jharbe akhi, bali tai (2)

But if you have faith that the jiva is a servant of Krishna, you will have no more sorrows.

Then if you utter krishna-nama, your body will shiver in ecstasy and tears will flow from

your eyes.

(radha) krishna bala, sange cala, ei-matra bhiksha cai

(jaya) sakala vipada, bhaktivinoda balena, jakhana o-nama gai (3)

Bhaktivinoda says, “O brothers, chant radha-krishna-nama with the Vaishnavas. This is

all I beg of you. When you chant Their names, all dangers will fly far away."
