Shri Chaitanya Shataka
vipula-pulaka-dhari citta-hari jananam
sphuratu hridaya-madhye gauracandro natendrah
ati-madhura-very sweet; caritrah-character; krishna-nama-the names of Krishna; eka-mantrah-one mantra; bhuvana-vidita-known throughout the worlds; sarva-all; prema-data-giver of love of God; nitantah-unique; vipula-profuse; pulaka-hairs standing on end; dhari-holder; citta-hari-thief of the heart; jananam-of the people; sphuratu-may He reveal; hridaya-madhye-in the core of the heart; gauracandrah-Lord Gauranga; natendrah-the best of dancers.
The characteristics of Shri Gaurasundara are most sweet. He simply teaches the holy names. Within the three worlds it is well known that He is the only giver of love. His transcendental body is filled with shivering and He attracts the minds of all. May that Lord Gaurachandra, who is the best amongst the dancers, please manifest in my heart.
