Shri Chaitanya Shataka
patita-yavana-murkhah sarvatha sphotayantah
iha jagati samasta nama sankirtanarta
vayam api ca kritarhah krishna-namashrayat
tribhuvana-in the three worlds; kamaniye-most attractive; gauracandre-Golden Moon;avatirne-descended; patita-fallen; yavana-yavanas; murkhah-fools; sarvatha-in every manner; sphotayantah-shaking their arms; iha-here; jagati-in the world; samasta-all; nama sankirtanartah-excited by the congregational chanting; vayam-we; api-although; ca-and; kritarhah-fulfilled; krishna-nama-the names of Shri Krishna; ashrayat-by taking shelter.
After the appearance in Navadvipa of Shri Gauranga, who is the most beautiful in the three worlds, all the people of this world including the fallen, the lowest of men, the yavanas and the fools, all became happy and maddened by the performance of sankirtana.
