pitamshukam parityajya
 shonambara dharoti yah
tam gauram karuna-sindhum
ashraye bhuvanashrayam

SYNONYMS

pita-yellow; amshukam-garment; parityajya-giving up; shona-saffron; ambara-garment; dharoti-wears; yah-who; tam-He; gauram-Golden Lord; karuna-mercy; sindhum-ocean; ashraye-I take shelter; bhuvana-all the worlds; ashrayam-shelter.

TRANSLATION

I take shelter at the feet of Shri Gaurachandra, who has given up His yellow cloth and accepted the saffron cloth of a sannyasi. He is an ocean of mercy and the only shelter of the three worlds.
