One time as Krishna and Radharani were sitting together a bee was disturbing Radharani by flying near Her. Krishna requested a friend to chase away the bee, and after finishing the task the friend came back proclaiming that madhu was gone. Madhusudhana is another name for Krishna. As madhu is a name for both a bee and Krishna, Radharani took the name as meaning Krishna and She began to cry, thinking Krishna was gone. Seeing Radharani cry, Krishna also began to cry, and their tears mingled together and became the kunda known as Prema Sarovara.
Radha and Krishna had many other intimate pastimes here. It is said that Krishna dug this kunda with his flute because the cows were thirsty. Not many people visit this place. It is a good kunda for swimming in.
How to Get Here: This place is between Nandagram and Varsana. It is 1½ km north of Varsana, on the left hand side of the road. You can not see this kunda from the road, but you can see some old red walls which are near the kunda. Prema Sarovara is about 100 m from the road.
