Radha's Mana bhanjana

(2)

vadasiyadi kinchidapi danta ruci kaumudi

harati dara timiramatighoram

sphuradadhara sidhave tava vadana

candrama rocayati locanancakoram

priye carusile muncha mayi manamanidanam

sapadi madananalo dahati mama manasam

dehi mukha kamala madhupanam

O Radhe! If You utter just a few words, the bright glimpse of Your teeth will overcome the dark fear in My heart! Ugh! And Your effulgent moon-face allures My cakora-eyes making Me want to kiss You.

(Chorus: O Priye! O Delicate one! Please discard Your ill-founded mana. O kindly relieve the fiery passion which scorches me with Your honey-like kiss.)

(3)

satyamevasiyadi sudati mayi kopini

dehi khara nayana sara ghatam

ghataya bhuja vandhanam janaya rada khandanam

yena va bhavti sukha jatam

priye carusile muncha mayi manamanidanam

sapadi madananalo dahati mama manasam

dehi mukha kamala madhupanam

O Rai, Your teeth are beautiful. Yet if Your are still angry, why don't You bite Me with them, or lance Me with Your eyes, or strangle me with Your arms, or do whatever else that comes to Your mind?

(O Priye! O Delicate one! Please discard Your ill-founded mana. O kindly relieve the fiery passion which scorches me with Your honey-like kiss.)

dehi mukha kamala madhupanam

O Radhe! You are the ornament for My body, the life of My life, and the Jewel which surfaces from the ocean of My existance. The only desire left in My heart is to see You recip¬rocate with Me.

(O Priye! O Delicate one! Please discard Your ill-founded mana. O kindly relieve the fiery passion which scorches me with Your honey-like kiss.)

sapadi madananalo dahati mama manasam

dehi mukha kamala madhupanam

Hey Slender one! Although Your eyes are like blue lotus petals, today, due to anger, they resemble red lotus petals. If You kindly use these eyes to pelt me with kamadeva's arrows, they will be refreshened with newer charm. (O Priye! O Delicate one! Please discard Your ill-founded mana. O kindly relieve the fiery passion which scorches me with Your mohey-like kiss.)

(6)

sapadi madananalo dahati mama manasam

dehi mukha kamala madhupanam.

(When You reign over My chest during rati vilasa) Your pearl necklace will dangle from Your pitcher-like-breasts...as the bell string worn over Your bottom sweetly tinkles to an¬nounce Cupid's awakening! (O Priye! O Delicate one! Please discard Your ill-founded mana. O kindly relieve the fiery passion which scorches me with Your mohey-like kiss.)

(7)

sapadi madananalo dahati mama manasam

dehi mukha kamala madhupanam.

O sweet speaking Radhe! Just order Me, I shall carefully paint red alta on Your lovely feet which resemble land lotus and which appear beautiful upon My chest during rati keli. (O Priye! O Delicate one! Please discard Your ill-founded mana. O kindly relieve the fiery passion which scorches me with Your mohey-like kiss.)

(8)

priye carusile muncha mayi manamanidanam

sapadi madananalo dahati mama manasam

dehi mukha kamala madhupanam.

O Radhe! Your lotus feet will fulfill all of My desires. So kindly place them upon My head! I'm burning in the flames of Kamadeva's bonfire. O please relieve My suffering by the touch of Your cooling lotus-feet. (O Priye! O Delicate one! Please discard Your ill-founded mana. O kindly relieve the fiery passion which scorches me with Your mohey-like kiss.)

(9)

iti catula catu cam mura vairino

radhikdmadhi vacana jatam

jayati padmavati ramana jayadeva kavi

bharati bhanitamati satam

Let Murari's carefully chosen, love-filled words spoken to Radhika composed by Padmavati's lover, Jayadeva, reach par-excellence upon touching the bhaktas hearts.

(10)

parihara krtatanaye sankam tvaya satatam ghana

stana jaghanaya krante svante paranavakasini

visati vitanoranyo dhanyo na kohapi mamantaram

pranayini paririmabharambhe vidhehi vidheyatam

Hey Shy one! You're thinking that I'm attracted to some¬one else? Just give up such thought; the shape of Your huge breasts and large bottom totally enslave Me! Only Cupid is left to disturb. So hey Sweetheart! Just perform Your duty and em¬brace me!

(11)

mugdhe vidhehi mayi nirddaya danta damsa

noralli vandha nibira stana piranani

candi tvameva mudanamcha na panchavan

candala kanda dalanadasavah prayantu

Hey Bewildered one! Bite me with Your ruthless teeth, squeeze me within Your firm embrace, and squash Me with Your swelling breasts! Hey Candi! (Angry one) By thus giving me santi You will become happy. But lo! Please hurry....lest Cupid's five flower arrows will kill Me first!

(12)

sasimukhi tava bhati bhangurabhruryuva jana

moha karal kalasarpi

tadudita baya bhanjanaya yuanm tvadadhara

sidhu sudhaiva sidhavantrah.

Hey Moon-faced one! The dangerous black snake of Your angry eyebrows cause young boys (like Me) to faint. Yet the only siddha mantra (remedy) to cure such a snake bitten young body (as Me) is the nectar from Your sweet lips.

(13)

vyathayati vrtha maunam tamvi prapancaya pancham

taruni madhuralapaistapam vinodaya drstibhih

sumukhi vimukhibhavam tapadvimucha na muncha mam

svayamarisayasnigdho mugdhe priyohayamupasthitah

Hey Sundari*! Your meaningless silent vow pains Me. Hey Taruni* *! Just soothe My troubled heart with Your sweet words! Hey Sumukhi***! Give Your resistance and alert Your loving glance make Me happy. Hey Bewildered one! As Your true beloved, I'm simply mad after You. So please don't chase Me away after I've come before You.

(14)

gandhe candi caksti nib

nalina srimocane locane

nasabhyeti tila prasuna padavim kundabha danti priye

prayastvanukha sevaya vijayate visvam sa pnipayudhah

Hey Chandi! (Angry one) Your lips are copper-colored like banduli flowers, and Your cheeks have turned pale a the madhuka flowers (due to viraha). But O My gosh! Have Your eyes stolen the beauty from the blue lotus? Hey lovely kunda flower-toothed one! Your nose out matches the curvature of a sesami flower. So Priye* * * *! Since Your face holds Kamadeva's five flower arrows, it's no wonder that He can easily conquer the entire universe.

(15)

drsou tava madalase vadanamindu sandipanam

gatirjana manorama vijitarambhamurudvayam

ratistava kalavati rucira citralekhe bhruva

vaho vivudha raovatm vahati tambi prthvigata

Your glance is madalasa (intoxicating); Your face is indusandipani (more attractive than the moon); Your gate is manorama (mind-stealing); Your thighs defeat the beauty of rambha (a banana tree trunk); and Your lovemaking is Kalavati (filled with amorous skill). Hey shapely Radhe! How amazing! Although You reside on earth, You carry with You the five most beautiful apasaras of heaven! (Madalasa, Indusandipani, Manorama, Rambha and Kalavati).

(16)

pritim vastanutam harih kuvalayapidena sardham rane

radha pina payodhara smaranakrt kumbhena sanbhedavana

yatra svidyati milati khanamatha khipte dvipe tatkhanat

kamsasya lambhut jitam jitamiti vyamoha kolahalah

When fighting with the Kuvalayapida elephant and notic¬ing its temples, Krsna was reminded of Radha's enormous breasts. Thus with the outbreak of sattvic emotions, He per¬spired as His eyes turned dizzy! Then Kamsa's supporters cheered by exclaiming : "We have won! We have won!" But as Krsna quickly killed the elephant and threw him to the side, those supporters turned dejected to announce: "This body has defeated us!" Let this manohara Krsna increase your love for Him.Thus ends Gita Govinda's Tenth Chapter entitled Mugdha Madhava.
