Recommended Reading Sequence By Swami Gaurangapada

 

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Though there are no hard and fast rules for reading the Vedic Holy Scriptures as they are very sweet wherever you touch them, the general sequence for reading the Vedic books recommended by me to the devotees and disciples is as given below. I would request all the devotees that if you take up a Holy Scripture for reading, then you should complete reading or studying it fully and then go on to the next scripture not to make a habit of reading one part from here and one part from there.

 

You can read other small spiritual books, articles etc. but that should be in addition to your main reading and hearing of these below scriptures. The below sequence of reading the Holy Books can be a little modified if required as per the convenience of the devotees. Please note that this reading and hearing is in addition to the daily vow of chanting a fixed number of Holy Names of Nityananda, Gauranga and Hare Krishna daily in japa and there should also be some kirtana of the Holy Names daily. You can also hear view videos or hear audios of the below books in the same or any other sequence. More Holy Books will be added in this list and minor modifications may be made as more Holy Books become translated and available to the world. Other than Bhagavad Gita As It Is, you can also read the other beautiful books of Shrila A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

 

The general recommended sequence of reading or hearing the Holy Books of Lords Nityananda Gauranga for devotees by us is as follows:

 

(01) Nityananda Gauranga Naam Mahima Mahastotra

(Hindi version is available and English version will be ready soon) daily reading and if possible along with it the 12 and 108 Holy Names of Lord Nityananda Prabhu and additionally if possible 12, 100 and 108 Names of Lord Gauranga.
